Open call: Swissness in posters

We are launching an open call for the ‘Graphics. Designing the everyday’ exhibition.  Part of the exhibition explores the idea of Swissness, and we are inviting you to submit posters that showcase the diverse ways in which Swissness is portrayed.  The interpretation of the theme is deliberately left open.  Your poster can, for example,

  • work with Swiss symbols,
  • pick up on the characteristic Swiss style,
  • visualise or challenge common ideas of Swissness,
  • or have played a part in the context of Swiss democracy and public life.

We are looking for posters that were on show in the public space and were developed as commissioned works.  First, you need to submit a digital poster that addresses the topic of Swissness, together with a short accompanying text (max. 300 characters) explaining the connection to the theme of Swissness.  If your poster is selected on the basis of the digital submissions, we will ask you to send in a hard copy in A4 format.

A selection of the submissions will feature in the exhibition, which runs from July 2026 to April 2027.
