At night, lions roam Zurich's streets, ocean liners sink in the North Atlantic and city theatres burn down. Art historian and museum educator Mimi Pecnik Rommens illuminates the darker sides of Zurich in this guided tour.

The tour is led by Mimi Pecnik, cultural mediator and former expat.

Guided tour as part of the «Lange Nacht der Zürcher Museen».

Limited number of participants. Tickets are available at the box office. Meeting point: foyer. Tickets for the "Lange Nacht" are available here.

The exhibition

Key-Visual der Ausstellung "Einfach Zürich"

The city and canton of Zurich have a long and chequered history. This will be shown in a permanent exhibition at the National Museum. From the pile-dwelling settlement to the muesli grater and the handbook for squatters, the exhibition explores Zurich’s rich past; cinematic installations and state-of-the-art technology bring an added dimension to the 60 or so historical objects on display, giving visitors a multimedia experience.
